The #4 hinge is designed to hold the garage door roller while connecting the fourth panel to the fifth panel from the ground. It is also commonly fitted to internal vertical frame sections on sectional garage doors.
The easiest way to identify the correct replacement hinge is by checking the number stamped on your existing hinge. Most sectional garage door hinges are marked from 1 to 7, with hinges 1 to 3 being the most commonly used.
This replacement hinge is designed to suit earlier model Steel-Line sectional garage doors.
These hinges are embossed with numbers 1, 2, 3, or 4, indicating the panel position for the left and right side hinges. Centre hinges may also display small embossed numbers, although these are not used for hinge identification.
Dimensions: 160mm long x 55mm wide
Please choose carefully, as hinges may appear similar at first glance. The roller shaft hole centres vary by approximately 5–6mm between each hinge position. Installing the incorrect hinge may cause the garage door to bind, scrape, or operate incorrectly.
